Omar, Omart, Oscar - call him Madoc please!
After much confusion about this little guy's name it's official - he's Madoc and he's living with Carol and Harold in Manhattan, KS. Madoc was a legendary Welsh Prince and we think this one is too!
Madoc's owners had this to say about him recently:
As one of your "families" Harold and I just want to thank you for all you do. Who knows what would have happened to Madoc if you hadn't taken him in. He's such a wonderful lil guy and we just love him. He gets to playing with a chewie or one of his toys and it's a blast to watch him run around growling and having a good time. We just love having him and I think he is happy with us!
What a petite little guy Madoc is! CCK knew very little about Madoc except that he had been in a rather antiquated shelter for more than a month near the Colorado/Kansas boarder! A wonderful volunteer from the shelter delivered him for CCK.
While he is petite, Madoc is probably about 5 years old. In some Corgi circles he is what is referred to as a "doodlebug" - a Corgi weighing less than 25 pounds.
In typcial Corgi fashion he enjoys his toys, chewies and going for walks. He has a beautiful back yard to explore and some neighbor dogs to "talk" to now and then.
The volunteer at the shelter did report Madoc was very friendly and sweet. She wasn't kidding. When we got him he immediatlely wanted to be with someone.
Madoc has been neutered and vaccinated. He was treated for whipworms and has been healthy since. Corgi Connection had his teeth checked also and no issues were noted. He is also micro-chipped.
Happy Holidays Madoc!
