Albert - Now Herbie: From Puppy Mill of 1,500 Dogs - Now in New Jersey
UPDATE: Albert has completely stolen our hearts. He is the biggest love bug and ham. Everyone who meets him immediately says two things about him: "He's gorgeous" and "He's big."
Albert is large for a corgi and will probably top out around 35 pounds. He is learning to play with the other dogs and with toys on occasion. He loves his dog bed and going for walks. He can be stubborn at times if he doesn't want to do something but does not react aggressively at all!
This big handsome boy came from the same puppy mill as Benny C. He was one of only a few dogs that survived. More than 1,200 dogs had to be euthanized from the mill due to health issues.
Albert is a drop-dead gorgeous sable male, about 5 years old. He is people friendly; getting along fine with 4 others dogs in his foster home. It would be best if he were in a home without cats as he is quite obsessive over them.
Albert needs a fenced yard. He loves to just hang outside and I would not trust him from wandering off.
He has done fine getting bathed and being brushed.
Albert is enjoying life as an indoor dog. I would consider him house-trained now as he will go to the door to go out and he now willingly follows the other dogs outside.
