Abby (far right) was found as a stray and taken to a shelter. Corgi Connection was contacted to take her and couldn't believe she was claimed.
Abby had very obviously been a house dog and one that was "loved" a little too much. She weighed 46 pounds and her toenails were terribly overgrown.
After having her spayed, brought up to date on vaccinations, nails trimmed, heartworm tested and other basic care, Abby was placed in foster care and isn't going anywhere.
Abby's mom knew before the end of the first week that she wasn't going to let this beautiful girl go.
"She just fit so well," Wendy said of adopted Abby.
Abby joins 9 -year old Jake, Cat and some ducks on several acreas where she takes daily walks in the meadow; goes swimming at a friend's house, plays Captain of the riding lawn mower sitting on it while the lawn is being mowed and gets to pretend she is the boss!

All of this activity is helping her lose some weight so she will live a longer and healthier life!
