Chumlee
Chumlee came to us from a breeder where his career just wasn't working out. He is 3 years old and has been neutered. His birthday is April 10, 2015.
According to his foster parents, Chumlee is just a goof-ball; loves to cuddle, loves to play, loves to go places. He is making the adjustment to living inside but his new people should be patient with him as he adjusts to a new environment. The house-training is coming along but does need to be watched. It's been a big change for him. He is crate-trained. Remember CCK does not approve adoptions to homes where a corgi would be crated on a regular basis for more than 5 hours a day.
He seems to be very sensitive to fleas so he must be kept on flea/tick prevention year-round. We had him on Apoquel to improve his itching and it has subsided. A lapse in prevention could mean a return of constant itching.
Chumlee is current on vaccinations, his teeth checked; he's heart-worm negative and micro-chipped. A fenced yard would be best for Chumlee as he becomes acclimated to a whole new world as a pet. He would probalby be fine with other dogs but we do want him to get a lot of attention. He will need reinforcement on basic obedience and just good manner in general. He loves most everyone he meets and would probably be fine with respectful and/or well monitored young children. We don't know about cats.
He is available for adoption now and applications are being accepted.
