Welcome!

I know there has been some frustration with not having many dogs posted as available. But there is so much going on behind the scenes and CCK is swamped. The truth is we have 11 dogs in rescue currently and that is a lot for a foster-home based rescue.

Earlier this summer we took in 4 females from a breeder who was no longer going to breed corgis. Anytime you get a dog from a less than ideal environment, it takes time to acclimate the dogs to living inside, house-training, vetting, etc. One of the females was adopted by her fosters. Another had to have urgent surgery due to a large bladder stone.

Another male we took in from a family had bilateral cruciate surgery - both knees had torn ligaments. He has weeks of rehabilitation. We have a female that also had to have cruciate repair. Once we feel these dogs are physically well, we will make them available.

In addition almost all the dogs had to be spayed or neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested and checked for any parasites.

In all, our veterinary care for these corgis has cost CCK about $20,000 the past 90 days.

We could not do ANY of THIS without some very dedicated and awesome fosters in addition to the wonderful financial support we receive.

So please be patient if you are looking to adopt. We truly are busy.

Corgi Connection of Kansas is in its 12th year as a state licensed rescue and non-profit organization. We have placed or help place more than 600 dogs over the past dozen years. Thanks to generous support, wonderful volunteers and awesome foster homes there are very few times we can't help a corgi.

These dogs have all found homes through CCK during the past year.

Corgi Connection of Kansas is an ALL volunteer rescue that helps homeless or abandoned Pembroke or Cardigan Welsh Corgis. We take in Corgis that need us and adopt them out to wonderful new homes. Though our focus is centered in the state of Kansas we will assist in Corgi rescue throughout the Midwest.

We do not have a shelter facility. All dogs are housed and cared for in our network of foster homes. This allows us to get to know the dogs personality and provides insight into the proper placement for the dog in its new forever home. We carefully review applications and place the dogs in approved, responsible, permanent homes.

Each dog receives the best medical care. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, brought current on all vaccinations, heart-worm tested, groomed, and started on flea and heart-worm prevention.
