Felix

ATTENTION SENIOR LOVERS: Felix needs a home ASAP. His mom will not be with us much longer.
I am having website issue posting photos. There are pictures on the petfinder.com listing.

This is Felix. He will be 9 this fall, but still acts like a youngster.
He has been a permanent CCK foster for the past 5 years with one of CCK's very best fosters, Gisela.
Gisela has fostered for us almost non-stop for more than 10 years and has welcomed more than 20 dogs in to her home. After dealing with a previous corgi that had perianal hernia surgery, when Felix came along with the same prognosis, she wanted to keep him and make sure he received the proper care for the rest of his life.
Sadly, Gisela is no longer able to keep that promise to Felix. She will be moving soon and can not take him.
Fortunately he doesn't require much special care at all now and we need to find him his next furever home soon and get him adopted.
Felix is a wonderful boy, but he is an anxious corgi. He barks non-stop on car rides and when people leave the house. He has never destroyed anything in the house! Gisela did figure out a way to ease the barking upon leaving the house and when he has to go anywhere he goes in a crate.
Aside from that Felix is such a sweet boy who just wants a person. It just breaks my heart that he can't spend the rest of his life with the 1 person who has given him constant love, care and companionship.
He prefers to sleep in his bed on the floor next to the bed of his person. He does have a crate and will occasionally go in it, so the door is left open. He is house-trained and does not get up on the furniture.
He gets along well with other dogs. We don't know about cats and I wouldn't place him in a home with young children, I believe it would just make him too nervous.
He has become obese over the past several months and needs to lose quite a bit weight. He used to love to go for walks.
Felix is current on vaccinations, neutered and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative.
