Kirby

ADOPTED!!!

Kirby has been cleared for Adoption!!!!

Kirby came to Corgi Connection along with Owen, his brother from another mother. Their owner could not give then the care she felt they deserved while living in an apartment. He is just 3 years old and we believe he is corgi-aussie but certainly seems to have mostly corgi traits and body shape with the exception of being heterochromia; having 1 blue eye. Kirby is a cuddle-bug and stays close to you..

Kirby IIKirby had a few health issues that have been treated. He came to us with a yeast infection in both ears and they have been treated and look good. He also had a urinary infection which was treated with an antibiotic but he should continue to be monitored. When Kirby first came to CCK and had his exam he was quite anxious and the veterinarian thought she heart a heart murmur. Another exam a few weeks later with a calmer Kirby and no heart murmur was detected. Kirby is neutered, micro-chipped; heart-worm negative and on preventative and is current on vaccinations.

He does very well in his crate and knows the command "kennel." He is house-trained but keep in mind a change in environment can cause some accidents.. He is overweight so he is on that terrible four-lettered word: DIET! He needs to lose about 5 pounds.KirbyIII

Kirby is learning to enjoy being outside and he likes to go for walks as long as they aren't too long. He's not too crazy about car rides and does get anxious in new situations/environments. He takes solace in his person.

This handsome boy seems to do well with most every dog he meets. He has been around other corgis; a standard poodle and a labrador-mx and did well with them all. He loves to play with his foster brother corgi in typical rough corgi fashion so he could use a sibling that is used to rough-housing.

His adoption fee is $300 and applications can be submitted through the website. We do not know how Kirby does with cats. CCK does not typically adopt to homes with young children, toddlers or infants.
