Buddy

Buddy has been on a journey the past few months and we're on a mission to make it the best one ever.Buddy2

Buddy is 5 years old and was surreneded to CCK when his owner could no longer care for him. He arrived in rescue weighing 50 pounds! He has been on a weight-loss journey since and now he is ready for the journey to his next furr-ever home. His weight-loss journey has taken him down about 10 pounds. We are looking for someone who will continue this journey to better health. He should weigh no more than 35 pounds and that is still quite large.

Exercise, controlled feedings and minimal treats have been the key. Walking isn't his favorite past-time as he does tend to tire easily and quite frankly just doesn't seem too enthused about that walking thing! He does like to give a chase to the resident cat and he's always right there in the middle if any attention is being doled out to other pets.

Buddy1Buddy does have chronic dry eye and requires daily drops which controls the symptoms and is required. He is also on Cosequin DS to help support his joints and we want whoever adopts him to continue the joint supplement.

He is a sweet loving boy that seems to get along with just about everyone and everything he meets. Buddy is neutered, current on vaccinations, just had a dental; is on heart-worm and flea-tick preventative and is house-trained. We are looking for a furr-ever home that will ensure his continued weight-loss journey. Because he comes from a home that was on the quiet side, we will give most consideration to homes with older children or no children at all. We do have concerns that he could be a tripping hazard for an older adult. His adoption fee is $300. Applications are being accepted for Buddy through the website. The link to the application is at the very bottom of the "Adoption" page.
