BeBe

BeBe who was named after BB King but is a queen, is a plus size gal with plus-size personality!alt

She came to Corgi Connection of Kansas from another rescue with no history except she had a hernia. She was named Candy Cane and we tried to call her CC, but BeBe just seemed to fit!

Whatever her background, she is ONE happy girl and a real character. Her nub never stops wiggling. All she really wants is to be petted, cuddled with, fed and walked!

CCK had BeBe's inguinal hernia repaired at Kansas State University in early October. She also had a smaller hernia which was repaired at the same time. She spent 8 days at the hospital with a drain tube and always maintained a happy temperament. After her hospital stay she spent a couple more weeks confined as much as possible to a crate. Three weeks after surgery she was given a clean bill of health but is still under a watchful eye so as not to overdo it with play. A task that's near impossible! Her exuberance for life oftentimes means she jumps, so for this reason, we don't recommend BeBe be placed in a home with small children and she may unknowlingly knock them down.

Prior to coming in to CCK, BeBe was in two other veterinary clinics waiting for rescue to take her. She has spent so much time in her crate, it's difficult to keep her crated, but she does very well, despite a slight protest.

BeBe has been in foster care now for more than a month and we think she's ready for her furr-ever home. She has been living with 5 other corgis and has done extremely well. She does get a bit over excited when the rest of the gang breaks out in chaos. So for that reason, we think BeBe would do best as an only dog allowing her to ALL the attention. She would probably do ok with an easy-going male dog.

BeBe is a beautiful corgi with a wonderful coat. She could stand to lose a pound or two, but hey, you would probably need to lose some weight too if you had to be confined for weeks on out. She loves to go for walks and is improving daily on her leash skills.

While this girl's age is estimated to be 5 she acts more like a 3 year old. She needs some manners but she has very good recall while running in the yard and she's always ready for snuggle.

BeBe has all her vaccinations, she is spayed, has been on heartworm preventative and is micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $275.
