Teddy

ADOPTED!

Teddy has found his furr-ever home where he is the center of attention!

Teddy, a.k.a. Teddy Bear came in to a shelter in Southern Illinois with one bad chop job on his fur. Thanks to a fellow rescuer, CCK was able to get Teddy out of there fairly quickly. Unfortunately shortly after leaving the shelter, Teddy became quite ill with diarrhea. It took a few weeks to get Teddy settled down from it all and we're really not sure what brought it on. It could have been a case of irritable bowel syndrome but it's kind of hard to diagnose in dogs. Either way, Teddy has come out on the other side just fine and does not seem to have any more issues. He is getting fed a grain-free diet and takes a small amount of Tylosin (powder) with his food to help insure his tummy stays settled. It is not likely this is a lifetime issue but the Tylosin may be continued just as a precautionery.

Teddy is fully house-trained and will crate if need-be. He is excellent on a leash; has good recall and does well with other dogs. Pretty much ignores the cat. He can be a bit skittish at times especially of sudden movements. He has a little bit of an ornery streak in him however as he can be a bit of a dumpster diver. He will get in the lower trash cans if he thinks there is something tasty in them. He also doesn't hesitate to help himself to anything good on the coffee table or other piece of furniture within reach. He has shredded a few pieces of paper but has not touched anything else. He can also be a bit barky if he's excited. He does take correction fairly well however.

Teddy is a wonderful corgi that loves to cuddle and have attention to himself. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, is on heart-worm and flea/tick preventative, has had his teeth checked and is micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $275.
