Murphy

ADOPTED. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR SO MUCH INTEREST IN HIM. HE'S GOING TO A HOME WITH ANOTHER CORGI

This is Murphy. He's approximately 5 years old although we can't be sure since he was found wandering the streets and taken to a shelter. The fantastic staff at the Humane Society of Greater City called Corgi Connection of Kansas and we were able to place him in a foster home as soon as his hold time was over.

Murphy will only go to a home with a fenced yard. While that isn't a requirement to adopt through CCK; it is for this particular dog.

Murphy is a real gentleman according to his foster mom. He is doing well with his 2 resident foster siblings; a schnauzer and another corgi. He is a bit of an attention seeker so the less dogs in his new home, probably the better for him! Murphy doesn't seem to mind children, as long as they are well behaved but we are not sure about cats. However, he doesn't seem to have any interest in squirrels, so that could be an indication he has no time for cats, but we can't be sure.

Murphy needs some training on recall as given the opportunity he would probably go exploring which is probably why he ended up in the sitation his did! He likes to go for walks but does tend to pull. Murphy's new owner should be willing to take some obedience classes with him to establish a relationship and for further socializing.

The adoption fee for Murphy is $275. He has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative) and we are having his teeth checked along with micro-chipping.

CCK does adopt out of state, however will not fly the dogs except as passenger. Any transport expenses are in addition to the adoption fee.
